Play a Game night
Our IT specialists enjoy board games and regularly get together to play them, so we organized a UPS Game Night! The aim was to introduce new candidates to the work our team does in a relaxed and enjoyable way. Thanks to our customized UPS 30 seconds game, this turned out to be a very nice evening. “Much better than the usual hiring event!” was one of the responses heard. PROJECT REPORTING SOFTWARE
Thanks to our declaration software, BOSS, users can easily make their own customs declarations. But since every country still has its own application, we began an international modernisation program to move to one global database. With the help of cloud migration, all applications and data are moved to Azure to be on one globally uniformed declaration software. This is a challenging project, and all our IT teams worldwide are working on it!
SMART PACKAGING
Our supply chain solutions and end-to-end services allow us to evolve with our clients and help them to grow even faster. How? By investing in automation. For example, our smart packaging allows our clients to track not only their medical shipment's location, but its temperature too. Our innovative IT solutions are in place to ensure that we serve our customers in the best, most efficient way possible.
COVID-19 VACCINE DRONE DELIVERY
Our UPS IT teams are constantly working on forward-thinking projects, and due to global collaboration across the business, we're able to stay ahead of the pack. That's how our dedicated US teams delivered the very first COVID-19 vaccines by drone in 2021. We achieved this with the help of new cold chain packaging, which is developed especially for drones and keeps the vaccines safe on their journeys. We're proud to have made such an important contribution to our communities by thinking innovatively and creatively.
