Functieomschrijving:

The Engineering Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency by collaborating with engineering departments to develop and implement best practices across the organization. This position involves training industrial engineering resources on standardized processes, maintaining the SCS database, and supporting special reengineering projects. Additionally, the Engineering Supervisor leads large project implementations and training initiatives, manages subject matter experts to ensure timely delivery, and coordinates field training efforts for Operation Trainers. Supervisory responsibilities may also be included in this dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development and Implementation:

• Collaborate with engineering departments to develop and deploy approved operational processes and best practices across the organization.
• Ensure consistency in the application of these processes.

Training and Development:

• Train Industrial Engineering (I.E.) resources on approved processes and work measurement applications.
• Develop and maintain training materials, including Web Application training resources for Operation Trainers.

Database Management:

• Maintain the SCS (Standard Control System) database, ensuring it is updated with accurate process information and best practices.

Project Support:

• Assist I.E. departments with special reengineering projects or new initiatives as required.
• Lead planning and execution of large-scale project implementations and training initiatives.

Team Coordination:

• Manage and coordinate the efforts of subject matter experts to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Oversee the activities of Operation Trainers in the field training of employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Potentially supervise other team members, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

• Experience:

  • Significant experience in industrial engineering or operational processes, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven track record in project management and training development.

• Skills:

  • Strong understanding of work measurement techniques and operational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and team coordination.
  • Proficiency in database management and familiarity with web applications for training purposes.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
