Job Description:

As Functional User Representative (FUR) you possess strong operational skills and the ability to deep dive into the functional set-up and configuration of applications like Warehouse-, Inventory-, Transport-, Shipping- and Order
Management Systems. You will receive extensive training on processes and various strategic applications. This will enable you to support customer implementations, system configuration changes, system enhancements, operational improvements and technology deployments.

What will your day look like?

  • The tasks vary from root causing a system issue on the warehouse floor to presenting a proposal to senior management for a large investment.

  • Supporting new business solutions and new customer implementations is a big part of your job;

  • You work closely together with a diverse group of people from all over the globe; Operators and management from all over Europe, UPS IE colleagues in other geos, IT personnel based in US and India, clients and vendors;

  • You ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality goals, service levels, inventory accuracy, and performance standards;

  • Identifying potential process improvements, formulating recommendations, and specifying the respective application changes is your responsibility

  • You provide trainings and demos.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Education: preferably at least a Bachelor in Information Services, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related engineering;

  • Experience: 2+ years in logistics, industrial engineering, IS, warehousing, or other related operations

  • Competencies: Strong knowledge of operations methods and procedures in a distribution environment. Interest in and experience with systems (Order Management, Warehouse
    Management, Shipping Systems). Ability to document business requirements and data process flows. Good Communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to present materials one-on-one or in a group setting. Project management skills.

  • Knowledge: excellent working knowledge of, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Projects. Excellent communication skills (English). SQL Knowledge recommended.
